Bachmann Trains was founded in 1833 by Henry Carlisle in Philadelphia. Originally, the company produced Spanish combs for the Spanish aristocracy. They switched to eyeglass frames, as well as a number of similar products, before finally switching to accessories for electric trains, the trains themselves, as well as scenery for them.
In 1969, Kader made model trains for Bachmann and ultimately bought the company. Kader is the world’s largest manufacturer of model railroads by volume. Bachmann industries have produced a number of lines of locomotives and trains, one of their most famous being the Thomas and FriendsTMline. They are also the only company that offers HO, N, On30, O, and G scale lines. View our inventory of their products below.
