American Flyer Trains

American Flyer Trains is now owned by Lionel Trains, another brand we offer. The trains used to be a less expensive alternative to the larger-scale electric trains and were called “Chicago Flyer.” In 1918, American Flyer produced an O gauge model of an electric train. They started to sell more wide gauge electric trains in the 1920’s to compete with Lionel Corporation.

Today, Lionel produces S-Gauge products that are based on the original American Flyer designs. They are extremely detailed and proportioned to scale.
